TASHKENT (SW) – The young under-15 national team of Afghanistan has secured second victory in the ongoing CAFA U-15 championship in Uzbekistan.
According to the Central Asian Football Federation, the Afghan team overpowered Turkmenistan with a clear margin of 3-0 in the match played last evening. Afghanistan is the defending champion for the ongoing Under-15 championship.
In the maiden match, Afghanistan defeated Kyrgyzstan 2-1 in a closely contested match.
Afghanistan has so far played a total of four matches in this competition hosted by Uzbekistan. It has lost 3-0 to Tajikistan and 1-0 to Iran in a closely contested match. Next, Afghanistan is set to take on the host Uzbekistan on Monday.
The national under 15 is standing on fourth slot with six points behind Iran, Uzbekistan and Tajikistan.
